Prof. Claudia Tavolieri L-ANT/03 - History of Roman Civilization |
Claudia Tavolieri was born in Rome, April 6, 1965. She graduated in 1993 cum Laude at University of Rome, “La Sapienza” with a Thesis in Roman History on “Vita Sanctae Melaniae Iunioris”. Introduction, Translation and Annotation. She obtained her PhD on Syriac Language and literature at the Pontificium Institutum Biblicum, Rome, and is founding member of scientific group “Syriaca”. In 2009-2010 she is a Researcher at the University of Tuscia (VT), in cooperation with University of Pisa in the field of a Research Project of National Interest (PRIN) based on “Empori sudarabici nelle fonti letterarie greche, latine e siriache”. In 2014-2015 she is also Researcher in Late Antiquity, Department of Humanities, University of RomaTre, Rome, in the range of a Research Project of National Interest (PRIN), based on “The translations of Greek Patristic texts (2nd – 6th century CE) in the Latin and Syriac Sources between the 3thand 8th century CE”. From 2018 has also become adjunct professor for various courses for various Universities such as Università Telematica Niccolò Cusano and University of Rome, "Tor Vergata".
