Prof.ssa Francesca Cencia   L-ART/04 - Textual Sources and Material Culture and Conservation

Francesca Cencia graduated from the Istituto Superiore per la Conservazione ed il Restauro with a double major in the restoration of mural paintings and materials of contemporary art.

In 2013 she began her activity as a restorer for the Vatican Museums.

Prof. Andrea Lauria L-ART/04 - Art Patronage over the Centuries

Andrea Lauria graduated from Rome’s Accademia di Belle Arti. He also holds a History of Art degree from Università di Roma Tre. He lectures a MA class in History of Art at Rome’s Università Niccolò Cusano, as well as the English-language class in Museology (Art Patronage over the Centuries) of the “Art History in Rome from Late Antiquity to the Present" and "Tourism Strategy and Cultural Heritage” Masters of Art at University of Rome "Tor Vergata". At the Temple University, Rome Campus, he lectures a course in Cultural Heritage Preservation. He has authored L’architettura residenziale turco-balcanica e l’indipendenza della Serbia (Turkish-Balkan Residential Architecture and Serbian Independence’ 2017), La violenza nell’arte (‘Violence in Art’; 2019), and From the Renaissance Studiolo to the Contemporary museum (2020).

Prof.ssa Tania De Nile   L-ART/02 - Dutch and Flemish Art 15th-17th centuries

Tania De Nile works as art historian in the Capitoline Superintendency for Cultural Heritage (Rome) and, previously, in the Ministry of Culture (Milan). She was Adjunct Professor at the University of Roma Tre and the University of Calabria, where she also carried out research on Flemish and Dutch painters in Calabria and South Italy, a project funded by the EU in collaboration with the RKD (Netherlands Institute for Art History) in The Hague. In 2013 she defended her PhD thesis in Leiden, which traces the development and characteristics of the subject category of spoockerijen (phantasmagoria) in Southern and Northern Netherlands. Her research has been supported by grants from the GWO (The Netherlands), the Konosuke Matsushita Memorial Foundation (Tokyo) and the NIKI (Nederlands Interuniversitair Kunsthistorisch Instituut in Florence). She took part in several international symposia and exhibitions held in Naples, Rome, Madrid, Paris, Fontainebleau, Leiden, Utrecht, 's-Hertogenbosch, Berlin, and Dublin. Her main contributions focus on painters of witchcraft and hell representations, the group of Bentvueghels in Rome and Flemish artists in South Italy.

Prof.ssa Maria Richiello ICAR 18 - Early Modern Art B - History of Architecture

Maria Richiello studied Architecture in Rome and graduated in Architectural Restoration at the University of Rome "La Sapienza" in 1993. At the same University, she obtained her Specialisation in Restoration of Monuments in 1997. In 2018 she was awarded the National Scientific Qualification for the position of Seconda Fascia, Associate Professor, concurring sector 08/E2, Restoration and History of Architecture - ICAR 18, History of Architecture. Her scientific interests in the History of Architecture cover a wide chronological field with particular attention to the Architecture of the Early Baroque and Baroque periods.

Prof. Alessio De Cristofaro L-ANT/07 -Archaeology of the Roman Empire

Alessio De Cristofaro, PhD, is Archaeologist Officer at the Special Superintendence for Archeology, Fine Arts and Landscape of Rome.

Among his activities and roles: Officer responsible for the archaeological protection of the XIII and XI Municipalities of Roma Capitale; Director of the Drugstore Museum - SSABAP / RM in via Portuense 317; Officer in charge of the Archaeological Current Archive of SSABAP-RM.
