ACADEMIC YEAR 2022/2023

Prof. Emanuela Scannavini (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.)

The course will explore the urban and planning history of Rome, from the ancient period to the present time. Particular attention will be devoted to the twentieth century, from post-war reconstruction onwards, and to the relationship between planning, policies, and actual urban and territorial transformations. In general, the aim of the course is to offer students some tools to critically read and understand cities in their socio-spatial and functional meanings, and their evolution in different historical and geographical contexts.
