Silvia Nocentini is Associate Professor of Medieval Latin literature at the University of Rome “Tor Vergata”. A philologist of medieval Latin hagiography, she has published several studies on the Order of Preachers’ literary production and women's mystic literature. Among her major books is the first critical edition of the Latin Life of Catherine of Siena written by Raymond of Capua (Legenda maior, Florence 2013). She is editor, with Michael Lapidge and Francesco Santi, of the Compendium Auctorum Latinorum Medii Aevi (C.A.L.M.A.), a comprehensive bibliography of the Latin writings of medieval and Renaissance authors. Her academic interests are manuscript studies, textual criticism, late medieval religious reform movements and women’s contribution to medieval spirituality.
